Dreeshen Completes Listening Tour in PEI

June 13, 2018

Ottawa - Earl Dreeshen, Member of Parliament from Red Deer – Mountain View recently returned from a Listening Tour to Prince Edward Island.

The tour spanned two days and took Dreeshen across the province meeting with community leaders, local business operators, farmers and hardworking folks in rural communities to learn more about the issues they face on a daily basis.

“From one end of the island to the other, Prince Edwards Islanders have familiar stories to tell,” said Dreeshen. “They can’t afford a government that is focused on increasing taxes, increasing regulations, and treating Canadians simply as a revenue source. They are tired of empty virtue signaling that does nothing to improve their quality of life and they are tired of a federal government that doesn’t respect or understand agriculture and rural communities.”

Dreeshen was in PEI because of the growing reports that people in the Maritimes are not being heard by the Liberal Government. The Conservative Caucus wants to ensure they are listening to Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

“The Conservative Party is the only party that truly understands and represents rural Canada,” continued Dreeshen. “Islanders can count on Andrew Scheer’s Conservatives to keep fighting for them and for projects and policies that will strengthen our rural economies.”
